Corporate Social Responsibility Policy (CSRP) for Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited is a way the company aligns its activities with the expectations of our stakeholders concerning its economic, social, and environmental impacts. Our stakeholders include our employees, contractors, and the local community.The company will abide by all the legal requirements which apply to our project.
The CSR Policy is adopted with the aspiration that the company wants to do more than just comply with the legal requirements for the benefit of the stakeholders resulting to be a responsible corporation.Public participation has gradually rooted in national and international public health policy. It has become even more crucial for decision-makers to understand who is affected by the decisions and actions they take, and who has the power to influence the outcome. Stakeholder engagement is an essential process for Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited to promulgate updates of their services and new developments. It is also an effective way for improving Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited services which adds more perspective to stakeholders’ views.
Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited believes that effective participation with stakeholders is vital to the completion of the Wind power project.
Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited is consistently involved in the CSR activities for the betterment of their stakeholders, some of the activities are listed below:
LOCAL EMPLOYMENT
As per the requirement of the stakeholder engagement plan; company’s contractor has employed number of people as per their skills from the local villages, local townships and district. In operation and maintenance phase company has employed 40 local people at GAWPL site.
FLOUR DISTRIBUTION.
GAWPL are consistently involved in the CSR activities for the betterment of local community. In continue to engage with local stakeholders in the month of October-2021 GAWPL distributed 250 bags (10kg) of flour and in the month of December-2021 GAWPL distributed 678 bags (10 Kg) of flour. SEWING MACHINE DISTRIBUTION.
GAWPL is continuously working on to support local and poor communities having more skills to support their family towards healthy life; in this regard company have distributed 10 sewing machines with complete kit in four villages households.
- Village Wali Muhammad Jakhro.
- Village Kareem Bux Khaskhale.
- Village Muheb Chang.
- Village Muhammad Ali Chang.
This distribution was intended to empower women by providing them with a livelihood.
One of the most valuable strategies in fighting extreme poverty is by promoting self-reliance amongst women so they can earn that will help them find ways to support their families. Sewing work is not only well paying but also provide them with consistent earnings that will help them provide for the needs of themselves and their families.
PROVISION OF EMPLOYMENT FOR LOCALS
Most of local male working with Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited project as Security guards. GAWPL and O&M Contractors has employed number of people as per their skills from the local villages and local townships and district. In operation and maintenance phase company employed 50 local people working with GAWPL project as skilled and unskilled labor.
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES TO LOCALS
The locally resident of Gul Ahmed Wind Power Limited project area, Allah Dino Burfat registered as a contractor approved from SEPA, Local contractor is engaged to undertake waste disposal services (nonhazardous waste) and invest in a pick-up truck which can be used to ferry waste weekly or monthly as per the agreements with GAWPL and other wind power plants.
